"An Agrarian life is a practice, a set of attitudes, a loyalty, and a passion...a way of thought based on land."
--Wendell Berry
You'll see what we mean when you drive down the road, and come across our farm. You'll find open land, plants growing, bees buzzing, people picking blueberries, people picking Lavender, calves mooing, flutterbies fluttering. When there's no motorcycles going by, you can hear the birds singing. For the artists and photographers that want to come at dawn and/or dusk, call ahead, so we know you're coming, 860-923-3439.
When I was 12, I started milking cows to help my father--he was my motivation. One summer day, cow #99 kicked him and broke his ankle, so I milked the cows 2x/day the whole summer. When I went back to school at Marianapolis, I got a dispensation from "sports" because I had "sports" at home! I actually run everyday now, even when we were at meeting in Lancaster, Pa, last week, I ran in the snow. I know I have to stay in shape for the spring/summer/fall "workout". lol
